"Open now, near me, has it" — that's the whole search. Be all three.

You already win on distance. Zachcart makes you win on the only other thing the search checks: whether the app can see what's on your shelf right now. Real, in-stock inventory on Google Search and Maps, in AI answers and on the delivery apps, synced from the register and back office you already run.

Convenience is proximity retail at its purest.

Nobody drives past three c-stores to reach a fourth. They go to the one the phone says has the thing — the energy drink, the phone charger, the diapers at 10pm. The search runs on a published feed, and most convenience registers were built to run the forecourt and the scan-data program, not to tell Google what's in the cooler. Search something on your counter plus "near me." If the chain two exits down shows up and you don't, that's the dark shelf — and in convenience it costs you the trip, not just the item.

POS systems convenience stores run

46 systems · 3 connected

Convenience runs on the widest mix of systems in our research: forecourt controllers with a register attached (Verifone Commander, Gilbarco Passport), back-office suites that drive the scan-data programs (PDI, Modisoft, SwiftSku, S4), the all-in-one cloud registers built for independents (NRS POS, Paradise, StoreTender), and the general platforms. 47 systems, 7 connected today.

What this mix means for your store

Convenience is where the register is most likely to have its own delivery plumbing and least likely to have Google plumbing. NRS POS reports documented DoorDash and Uber Eats connections; POS Nation, Modisoft and FTx POS report DoorDash; IT Retail reports Instacart; DUMAC and TRUNO reach Instacart only through its smart cart; SwiftSku takes DoorDash and Uber Eats orders through a third-party delivery service, Vroom, rather than natively. On the Google side, only the general platforms and two legacy systems (Clover, Square, Lightspeed, pcAmerica, RMH) appear on the free local inventory list — none of the convenience-built systems do. Seven of the 47 are already connected to Zachcart. The practical read: if you run a Commander or a Passport, your shelf has never been online and the remote connector is the only route; if you run a cloud c-store system, you may have one delivery app and no search presence, and one connection fills in the rest.

If your register tracks a sale, we can put it online

Forecourt and back-office systems — Commander, Passport, PDI, the Windows registers — connect by remote connector. Cloud systems like NRS, Modisoft, Paradise and Clover connect by API. Scan-data programs and loyalty stay exactly where they are; we only read item, count and price.

POS integrationsHow local inventory works
Connecting a POS during setup

Four outcomes. One connection.

01

Your in-stock snacks, drinks, tobacco-adjacent accessories, auto and household items on Google Search and Maps when someone nearby asks "open now, has it."

02

Product pages under your store's name — clean data, live stock, no website project.

03

Your shelf as an answer AI assistants can cite for the 10pm "where can I get diapers near me" question.

04

Order-ready pipes to the delivery apps you don't have yet, from the same inventory, with sold-out items off the feed within a minute.

For distributors and jobbers

Serve hundreds of independent c-stores? One agreement puts the whole route in the answer, and your reps get a consented, live read on what's moving in each store.

Still have a question? Ask us
Yes. The remote connector reads the item and sales data the controller and back office already keep. Nothing changes on the pumps or at the register.
