Does Toast connect to Google local inventory and delivery apps?
Yes, by request. Toast is not in Zachcart's live directory yet, but if it can track a sale we can connect it. We build new integrations in days, not quarters, using the API pathway. Request it and we review your install; once connected, your items, counts and prices publish to Google Search, Maps and Shopping and to the checkout channels Zachcart enables. Connecting is free; Zachcart takes 2% on orders it brings you.
What Toast is
Toast is a point-of-sale system used in convenience and fuel, liquor, grocery retail. It is a cloud system, aimed at small and mid-sized, mid-market retailers. The company reports ~180,000 locations: a figure from the company's filings, not a US-only count, so read it as a signal of scale rather than an audited base.
How the integration works
Toast is a cloud system, so it uses Zachcart's API pathway. Nothing is installed in the store.
- 01Authorize.
You grant Zachcart access to your Toast account; it takes minutes and your vendor is not required.
- 02Catalog read.
Zachcart reads items, quantities and prices through the vendor's interface and maps your departments to the channels you choose.
- 03Live sync.
Changes at the register flow to your online listings continuously, so a shopper never drives to an empty shelf.
What a Toast store gets
The same inventory feed powers the checkout channels Zachcart enables, so an order is placed against live counts, not a copy of last week's menu.
When someone searches a product you stock plus "near me", your store appears with "in stock" — the signal the chains already show.
Every item gets a page under your store name, not a marketplace's.
Which products people search for in your area and whether you carry them.
Convenience, fuel & tobacco: what decides the integration
Convenience and fuel is the most concentrated retail vertical. Verifone Commander runs 55,000+ sites, roughly 36% of the ~152K US c-stores on the company's own count, and with Gilbarco Passport forms the forecourt duopoly; NRS (IDT) runs 35,400 independent retailer locations per its filings. Scan-data rebates from Altria and RJR shape the small-vendor end of the market and run through aggregators (Skupos/PDI, KDP, MSA), so a system's scan-data standing matters as much as its features. No c-store POS is on Google's free Local Inventory list. Native delivery connectors exist at NRS (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub), Modisoft and FTx (company-reported); SwiftSku reaches DoorDash and Uber Eats through Vroom middleware. Everyone else in the vertical reaches the delivery apps by retyping a menu.
What we touch, and what we don't
- ✓We read items, counts and prices.
- ✓We leave pricing logic, loyalty, supplier programs and counter workflow exactly as they are.
- ✓Your reseller or vendor does not need to be involved, though we will work with them if you prefer.
- ✓Toast already reports a connector to DoorDash (per the platform or vendor page, restaurant product only), Uber Eats (per the platform or vendor page, restaurant product only). Zachcart does not replace it; it adds Google local inventory, store-branded pages and the other checkout channels from one live feed, and keeps every channel on the same counts.
