Does POS Nation connect to Google local inventory and delivery apps?
Yes. Zachcart connects POS Nation today through the Remote Connector pathway. Your items, on-hand counts and prices publish to Google Search, Maps and Shopping and to the pickup and delivery channels Zachcart enables, without new hardware and without changing how you ring a sale. Connecting is free; Zachcart takes 2% on orders it brings you through those channels.
What POS Nation is
POS Nation is a point-of-sale system used in hardware and home improvement, garden and farm, liquor, grocery, tobacco and vape retail. It is a hybrid system with on-site components, aimed at very small to mid-sized retailers. The company reports 10,000+ retailers (all verticals; thousands of liquor stores): a company-reported figure and not necessarily current, so read it as a signal of scale rather than an audited base. Note: it is a reseller brand: sells Bottle POS, Markt POS, Cigars POS, C-Store POS, CellSmart POS and Comcash; the integration is the underlying platform's.
How the integration works
POS Nation is a hybrid system with on-site components, so it uses Zachcart's Remote Connector pathway, the same one that reaches legacy systems no API touches.
- 01Remote install.
We install a lightweight connector on your POS Nation server in a scheduled session. No site visit.
- 02Database read.
The connector reads items, quantities and prices from POS Nation. It does not write back.
- 03Live sync.
Changes at the register flow to your online listings continuously, so a shopper never drives to an empty shelf.
What a POS Nation store gets
When someone searches a product you stock plus "near me", your store appears with "in stock" — the signal the chains already show.
Every item gets a page under your store name, not a marketplace's.
Which products people search for in your area and whether you carry them.
The same inventory feed powers the checkout channels Zachcart enables, so an order is placed against live counts, not a copy of last week's menu.
Hardware, lumber & paint: what decides the integration
Hardware POS is chosen by the co-op more than by the store. Ace recommends Epicor Eagle exclusively (3,400+ of 5,300+ stores, 2020), Do it Best names Epicor its POS vendor of choice with ECi RockSolid MAX, ECi Spruce and Profile TransActPOS as compliant vendors, and Orgill-aligned stores lean to Paladin. Epicor's hardware base across Eagle and BisTrack is 9,000+ locations, about 12.5% of the category on company-reported numbers. Paladin and J3 POS are on Google's free Local Inventory list; Epicor reaches Google through the Merchant Center feed-partner program instead. No hardware POS has a confirmed native delivery connector, and Ace's presence on Uber Eats and DoorDash is at banner level with no named POS behind it. Lumber yards run BisTrack, Spruce, DMSi Agility, Ponderosa and Kerridge K8; paint stores run Epicor Decor Fusion.
What we touch, and what we don't
- ✓We read items, counts and prices.
- ✓We leave pricing logic, loyalty, supplier programs and counter workflow exactly as they are.
- ✓Your reseller or vendor does not need to be involved, though we will work with them if you prefer.
- ✓POS Nation already reports a connector to DoorDash (company-reported). Zachcart does not replace it; it adds Google local inventory, store-branded pages and the other checkout channels from one live feed, and keeps every channel on the same counts.
