Does Square connect to Google local inventory and delivery apps?

Yes. Zachcart connects Square today through the API pathway. Your items, on-hand counts and prices publish to Google Search, Maps and Shopping and to the pickup and delivery channels Zachcart enables, without new hardware and without changing how you ring a sale. Connecting is free; Zachcart takes 2% on orders it brings you through those channels.

What Square is

Square is a point-of-sale system used in specialty, apparel, beauty, grocery retail, sold by Block, Inc. It is a cloud system, aimed at very small to mid-sized retailers. Square is on Google's free Local Inventory app list, which covers the Google side on its own; Zachcart adds the checkout channels and store-branded product pages from the same live feed.

How the integration works

Square is a cloud system, so it uses Zachcart's API pathway. Nothing is installed in the store.

  1. 01
    Authorize.

You grant Zachcart access to your Square account; it takes minutes and your vendor is not required.

  2. 02
    Catalog read.

Zachcart reads items, quantities and prices through the vendor's interface and maps your departments to the channels you choose.

  3. 03
    Live sync.

Changes at the register flow to your online listings continuously, so a shopper never drives to an empty shelf.

What a Square store gets

Near-me, in-stock visibility.

When someone searches a product you stock plus "near me", your store appears with "in stock" — the signal the chains already show.

Store-branded product pages.

Every item gets a page under your store name, not a marketplace's.

Google retailer insights.

Which products people search for in your area and whether you carry them.

Order-ready pickup and delivery.

The same inventory feed powers the checkout channels Zachcart enables, so an order is placed against live counts, not a copy of last week's menu.

General retail & horizontal POS: what decides the integration

Horizontal cloud POS (Square, Clover, Shopify POS, Lightspeed, KORONA, Heartland, Epos Now, Erply, Loyverse, PayPal Zettle, SumUp and others) processes a small share of US in-store retail: Clover, Square, Lightspeed and Shopify POS together carry roughly 2–4% of the $5.88T on estimates from their disclosed payment volumes. Square, Clover and Lightspeed are on Google's free Local Inventory list, and Shopify is a Merchant Center feed partner. Their DoorDash and Uber Eats connectors are documented for restaurant menus; for retail catalogs none is confirmed (a 2024 Square seller-community thread says Square for Retail had no native DoorDash connector). Zachcart adds the retail-catalog side: one live feed from the register to Google and the checkout channels.

What we touch, and what we don't

  • ✓We read items, counts and prices.
  • ✓We leave pricing logic, loyalty, supplier programs and counter workflow exactly as they are.
  • ✓Your reseller or vendor does not need to be involved, though we will work with them if you prefer.
  • ✓Square already reports a connector to DoorDash (per the platform or vendor page, restaurant product only), Uber Eats (per the platform or vendor page). Zachcart does not replace it; it adds Google local inventory, store-branded pages and the other checkout channels from one live feed, and keeps every channel on the same counts.

Square questions, straight answers

No. Square is a cloud system; the connection runs through the vendor's interface, so nothing is installed in the store and your vendor does not need to be involved.
