Does Markt POS connect to Google local inventory and delivery apps?

Yes. Markt POS is on Zachcart's confirmed list: the integration pathway (API) is established and the vendor already operates its own channel connectors, which tells us the data is reachable. Request the integration and we schedule the technical intro; your items, counts and prices then publish to Google Search, Maps and Shopping and to the checkout channels Zachcart enables. Connecting is free; Zachcart takes 2% on orders it brings you.

What Markt POS is

Markt POS is a point-of-sale system used in grocery retail, sold by POS Retail Software LLC (private); sold via POS Nation. It is a cloud system, aimed at small and mid-sized retailers. The company reports 1,000+ grocery stores & specialty markets: a company-reported figure that has not been independently verified, so read it as a signal of scale rather than an audited base.

How the integration works

Markt POS is a cloud system, so it uses Zachcart's API pathway. Nothing is installed in the store.

  1. 01
    Authorize.

You grant Zachcart access to your Markt POS account; it takes minutes and your vendor is not required.

  2. 02
    Catalog read.

Zachcart reads items, quantities and prices through the vendor's interface and maps your departments to the channels you choose.

  3. 03
    Live sync.

Changes at the register flow to your online listings continuously, so a shopper never drives to an empty shelf.

What a Markt POS store gets

Order-ready pickup and delivery.

The same inventory feed powers the checkout channels Zachcart enables, so an order is placed against live counts, not a copy of last week's menu.

Near-me, in-stock visibility.

When someone searches a product you stock plus "near me", your store appears with "in stock" — the signal the chains already show.

Store-branded product pages.

Every item gets a page under your store name, not a marketplace's.

Google retailer insights.

Which products people search for in your area and whether you carry them.

Grocery & markets: what decides the integration

Independent grocery runs on LOC SMS, ECRS Catapult (600+ stores on Cognition alone), IT Retail, Markt POS, Vori and generalist systems, while chains run NCR Voyix, Toshiba, GK and Oracle. No enterprise grocery POS is on Google's free Local Inventory list. Instacart is effectively closed to POS-native catalog sync in public sources: its only named POS partners, DUMAC and TRUNO, integrate Caper smart carts rather than the marketplace catalog, although Markt POS, IT Retail and Vori describe Instacart integrations on their own pages. Ethnic and specialty markets sit on a long tail of small cloud systems. For an independent grocer the practical gap is the same everywhere: the register knows what is on the shelf and the apps do not.

What we touch, and what we don't

  • ✓We read items, counts and prices.
  • ✓We leave pricing logic, loyalty, supplier programs and counter workflow exactly as they are.
  • ✓Your reseller or vendor does not need to be involved, though we will work with them if you prefer.
  • ✓Markt POS already reports a connector to Instacart (per the platform or vendor page). Zachcart does not replace it; it adds Google local inventory, store-branded pages and the other checkout channels from one live feed, and keeps every channel on the same counts.
