Does SpotOn connect to Google local inventory and delivery apps?

Yes, by request. SpotOn is not in Zachcart's live directory yet, but if it can track a sale we can connect it. We build new integrations in days, not quarters, using the API pathway. Request it and we review your install; once connected, your items, counts and prices publish to Google Search, Maps and Shopping and to the checkout channels Zachcart enables. Connecting is free; Zachcart takes 2% on orders it brings you.

What SpotOn is

SpotOn is a point-of-sale system used in specialty retail. It is a cloud system, aimed at small and mid-sized retailers. The company reports ~30,000 customers: a company-reported figure that has not been independently verified and not necessarily current (it counts users or customers rather than store locations), so read it as a signal of scale rather than an audited base.

How the integration works

SpotOn is a cloud system, so it uses Zachcart's API pathway. Nothing is installed in the store.

  1. 01
    Authorize.

You grant Zachcart access to your SpotOn account; it takes minutes and your vendor is not required.

  2. 02
    Catalog read.

Zachcart reads items, quantities and prices through the vendor's interface and maps your departments to the channels you choose.

  3. 03
    Live sync.

Changes at the register flow to your online listings continuously, so a shopper never drives to an empty shelf.

What a SpotOn store gets

Near-me, in-stock visibility.

When someone searches a product you stock plus "near me", your store appears with "in stock" — the signal the chains already show.

Store-branded product pages.

Every item gets a page under your store name, not a marketplace's.

Google retailer insights.

Which products people search for in your area and whether you carry them.

Order-ready pickup and delivery.

The same inventory feed powers the checkout channels Zachcart enables, so an order is placed against live counts, not a copy of last week's menu.

Gift, specialty, books & florist: what decides the integration

Gift, specialty, book and florist retail is the longest tail in US retail software: GiftLogic, Rain POS, WooPOS, J3, Keystroke and Artisan in gift and specialty; the Hallmark Gold Crown estate (historically Tomax Retail.net across 2,500+ stores in 2012, unverified today); bookstores on IBID, WordStock, Bookmanager and the ABA IndieCommerce program; florists on Teleflora, FTD Mercury, Lovingly, BloomNation and FloristWare, where the POS is bundled with the wire service. Rain, WooPOS and J3 are on Google's free Local Inventory list; none of these systems has a native delivery connector.

What we touch, and what we don't

  • ✓We read items, counts and prices.
  • ✓We leave pricing logic, loyalty, supplier programs and counter workflow exactly as they are.
  • ✓Your reseller or vendor does not need to be involved, though we will work with them if you prefer.

SpotOn questions, straight answers

No. SpotOn is a cloud system; the connection runs through the vendor's interface, so nothing is installed in the store and your vendor does not need to be involved.
