Does Magstar Total Retail connect to Google local inventory and delivery apps?
Yes, by request. Magstar Total Retail is not in Zachcart's live directory yet, but if it can track a sale we can connect it. We build new integrations in days, not quarters, using the API or Remote Connector (confirmed at technical intro) pathway. Request it and we review your install; once connected, your items, counts and prices publish to Google Search, Maps and Shopping and to the checkout channels Zachcart enables. Connecting is free; Zachcart takes 2% on orders it brings you.
What Magstar Total Retail is
Magstar Total Retail is a point-of-sale system used in liquor, apparel, footwear, pharmacy, garden and farm retail, sold by Perseus Group Software Corp. (Constellation Software family; Ontario corporation; private). It is a system whose deployment we confirm with you, aimed at mid-market, enterprise retailers.
How the integration works
Magstar Total Retail is deployed in more than one way, so the pathway depends on your install: cloud installs connect by API, Windows or server installs through the Remote Connector. We confirm which in a short technical intro.
- 01Technical intro.
A 20-minute call to confirm how your system is deployed and which departments you want online.
- 02Connect.
API authorization for a cloud install, or a remotely installed connector for a server install. Either way, no site visit and nothing changes at the counter.
- 03Live sync.
Changes at the register flow to your online listings continuously, so a shopper never drives to an empty shelf.
What a Magstar Total Retail store gets
The same inventory feed powers the checkout channels Zachcart enables, so an order is placed against live counts, not a copy of last week's menu.
When someone searches a product you stock plus "near me", your store appears with "in stock" — the signal the chains already show.
Every item gets a page under your store name, not a marketplace's.
Which products people search for in your area and whether you carry them.
Liquor & wine: what decides the integration
Liquor POS is fragmented across dozens of small-business systems: Bottle POS (3,000+ stores, company-reported), mPower Beverage, Spirits POS, KORONA, WinePOS and the horizontal platforms Square and Clover. No survey gives a share. Google's free Local Inventory app lists Bottle POS, Spirits POS, Clover, RMH and pcAmerica. Delivery reach today mostly runs through middleware: City Hive (about 180 named POS integrations, 4,500+ merchants) and Bottlecapps (100+ POS systems) sit between the register and DoorDash, Uber Eats and Instacart, and mPower reaches DoorDash through City Hive. The POS vendors with a connector of their own are Bottle POS, NRS, Modisoft and POS Nation (via Bottle). What Zachcart changes is the shape of the connection: one feed from the register covers Google local inventory and the checkout channels, using the store's live counts rather than a menu copy that drifts.
What we touch, and what we don't
- ✓We read items, counts and prices.
- ✓We leave pricing logic, loyalty, supplier programs and counter workflow exactly as they are.
- ✓Your reseller or vendor does not need to be involved, though we will work with them if you prefer.
